Our team is currently completing consumer unit upgrades for domestic properties across Bournemouth, Poole, and Ferndown. We are removing outdated plastic fuse boards and replacing them with metal non-combustible enclosures to ensure full compliance with BS 7671 18th Edition Amendment 2. These installations are necessary for homeowners who have added new circuits or require updated safety measures to protect against electrical fires and faults.

We are installing Surge Protection Devices (SPD) as standard on all new boards to prevent damage to sensitive electronics from transient overvoltages. Each installation includes 30mA RCD or RCBO protection for every final circuit, including domestic lighting and socket outlets. This configuration provides individual circuit isolation and ensures that faults are cleared immediately, maintaining the safety of the electrical system in accordance with current wiring regulations.

For landlords and owners of HMOs in Ringwood and the wider Dorset area, we are fitting Arc Fault Detection Devices (AFDD) on required socket circuits. Our City & Guilds qualified electricians have over 20 years of experience handling complex residential and commercial upgrades. Every project is fully certified and notified through Part P of the Building Regulations to ensure legal and safety compliance for all Dorset Electrical Solutions clients.
