It is flicker free – no time required to warm up. It benefits the environment because of the reduction in mercury use. It is ON faster than the old technology unlike the CFL, so it saves more energy. LEDs are highly efficient; they consume only a few watts of power, resulting in massive savings, compared to their equivalent. They have a long service life of between 10,000 and 50,000 hours. They are available in a wide range of colours such as blue, green, white, red, etc… It is fun to change the colours of the lights. If you want to replace a light than you just have to swap the light bulb with another.
