We Cook:

It’s important to have the perfect lighting for all your work tops when preparing and cooking food. With the applicability of the positioning and brightness of lighting being a top priority, to provide a safe and workable environment, we’ll liaise with you throughout the process, to install the best and most appropriate lighting for your explicit needs. You can use LED Spotlights to create a coned beam effect to illuminate specific work areas, or Strip Lights to provide an overall flood of light across the entire work surface.

We Entertain:

Re-setting the mood can make all the difference when transforming your kitchen from a working area into a focus of societal get-togethers, and imbuing an atmosphere of sheer exuberance, is dependable on the lighting you use. Mood lighting can add depth to a room and its furnishings with soft, unassuming lighting effects to enhance the ambiance you want to create.

  • Overhead wall lights: To illuminate the ceiling.
  • Over cabinet lights: To light up the fronts of cupboard doors.
  • Inside cabinet lights: To reflect light on glassware and tableware.
  • Plinth lights: To create a soft illuminated boarder on kickboards.

What kind of lighting you use is entirely up to you, whether that’s LED Spotlights or LED Strip Lights.

LED Spotlights:

From miniature LED’s for gentle lighting to Super-flux LEDs for maximum light emission, in the long run, they are more economic and energy-efficient than the old halogen and fluorescent spotlights, and are by far, more eco-friendly too. When working in the kitchen, using knives and other utensils, it’s safer to have brighter lighting, and if you have lots of natural light, then a slightly lower wattage bulb might be sufficient.

Examples of wattage and brightness for LED Spotlights:

  • 75 watt fluorescent light bulb = 7.5 watt LED.
  • 60 watt fluorescent light bulb = 6 watt LED.
  • 50 watt fluorescent light bulb = 5 watt LED.

LED Tape Lighting:

This is a flexible strip of numerous little LED lights, that comes in different shapes and sizes, and can be self-contained or linked to dimmer devices, to provide variable light levels, depending on the mood you wish to create. They come attached to a reel that has a controller, so you can mix and match the colours for that perfect ambiance. These efficient lights are also very economic to run.

Examples of wattage and brightness for LED tapes.

  • 5 Watt LED lighting tapes: Perfect for kickboards underneath kitchen cabinets,  giving a subtle radiant aura effect.
  • 15 Watt LED lighting tapes: Good for working lights under kitchen cabinets.
  • 20 Watt LED lighting tapes: Ideal for a brighter work surface lighting.
  • 7.5 Watt  RGB LED lighting tapes:  A combination of red, green and blue, which can be changed instantly at the touch of a button, to deliver    Feature lighting. Ideal for use as coving or plinth kitchen LED strip lighting, to produce a halo glow effect.
  • 15 Watt RGB LED lighting tapes: High-power red, green and blue feature lighting which can be mixed to produce a pure white.
