Our team is currently completing a series of consumer unit upgrades for residential properties across Bournemouth, Poole, and Ringwood. These installations involve replacing outdated plastic fuse boards with 18th Edition–compliant metal consumer units. Each unit is configured with individual RCBOs and an integrated Surge Protection Device (SPD) to manage transient overvoltages. This work ensures adherence to current BS 7671 regulations and provides a significant improvement in electrical safety for local homeowners.

The transition to Type A RCBOs provides dedicated fault protection for each individual circuit. This configuration prevents a single appliance fault from causing a total power loss across the property, which is a common issue with older dual-RCD arrangements. We are also fitting metal enclosures as standard to improve fire containment within the electrical system. These upgrades are being carried out by our City & Guilds qualified electricians who have over 20 years of experience in the Dorset area.

Electrical safety in Poole and Ferndown remains a priority, particularly for older housing stock requiring wiring upgrades. Our services include complete electrical design and installation, consumer unit upgrades, electric vehicle charging installation, and positive input ventilation (PIV) systems for moisture control. We provide these services to homeowners, landlords, and commercial clients throughout Dorset, Hampshire, and Wiltshire. All installations are tested and certified to ensure full compliance with Part P building regulations.

Detailed photographs of a recent high-end installation in Canford Cliffs will follow shortly. Our team continues to maintain a 98% customer satisfaction rate while delivering cost-effective electrical solutions. For technical enquiries regarding SPD requirements or PIV system benefits, our office remains available during standard business hours.
Thanks.
