We’re reliable, local electricians serving Wimborne and the surrounding East Dorset areas. From the town centre and modern estates to the more rural properties nearby, our NAPIT-approved team looks after homeowners, landlords and businesses with electrical work that’s safe, tidy and certified to BS 7671. Whether it’s a full rewire, an urgent repair or a landlord safety inspection, you’ll get honest advice, clear pricing and workmanship we stand behind.
Wimborne Minster & the town centre — Period and occasionally listed property that needs careful, sympathetic rewiring and consumer unit upgrades, keeping disruption and visible cabling to a minimum.
Colehill & Pamphill — A mix of larger homes and rural-edge properties, often with outbuildings, garden power and EV charger requirements.
Corfe Mullen & Stapehill — Family housing and some agricultural and commercial premises; rewires, fault-finding and landlord EICRs.
Wimborne’s housing is a real mix, and each type brings its own electrical needs. The older period and character properties around the Minster and the town centre often have ageing wiring and outdated fuse boxes that need careful, sympathetic updating; the modern estates at Merley, Leigh Park and Cranborne Road are more straightforward but frequently want extra sockets, EV chargers and lighting; and the rural homes out towards Pamphill and Corfe Mullen sometimes need three-phase or agricultural work. We handle all of it:
Our Ferndown base is inside the BH21 Wimborne postcode, so the whole town and its surrounding villages are minutes away. As well as Wimborne Minster itself, we regularly work in Colehill, Merley, Pamphill, Corfe Mullen, Stapehill, Broadstone, Ferndown and out across the wider East Dorset and BH postcodes.
Being based right next to the town — in the BH21 postcode — means we reach Wimborne quickly and know the local property stock well, from listed and period homes that need a careful hand to the newer estates. We’re NAPIT-approved and work to the BS 7671 wiring regulations, every job is fully certified, and we’re rated 5 out of 5 by our customers. You’ll always get a clear, fixed quote before we start, tidy workmanship, and a team that respects your home.
It depends on the job, but we always give you a fixed price up front — no hourly surprises. Smaller jobs like extra sockets or a light fitting can be quoted quickly; larger work such as a rewire, fuse board upgrade or EICR is quoted after a short look at the property. Just ask and we’ll give you a clear figure before any work starts.
Yes. Wimborne has plenty of older and character homes, and we’re used to rewiring and upgrading them sympathetically — keeping disruption and damage to a minimum while bringing the electrics safely up to standard.
Yes. We carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports for landlords and homeowners across Wimborne and East Dorset, with a clear report and any remedial work quoted separately. Rented homes in England need a valid EICR at least every five years.
Yes — we’re NAPIT-approved and every installation is carried out to BS 7671, with the appropriate certificate issued on completion and notified to Building Control where required.
We do. Because we’re based right next door in the BH21 postcode, we can usually reach Wimborne emergencies quickly — a loss of power, a burning smell from a socket, or a circuit that keeps tripping.
We couldn't have wished for better customer service and workmanship. The installation went without a hitch and they have continued to provide support and answer all our questions.
Had an PIV installed in loft with output in hallway. Engineer was excellent and very helpful. He worked really well and the work he did looks very professional. We discussed location of isolator switch and engineer was happy to meet our requirements. Would recommend for both quality and price.
Jason delivered an extensive and complex refurbishment, diplomatically working with builders and contractors who perpetually changed an agreed schedule. Despite other people's delays Jason was flexible, proactive and completed our 5 bedroom project bang on his quote to the highest possible standard. A great experience.
DES carried out 3 jobs fitting a PIV unit, bathroom fan extractor and EV charger. From initial request through the website the team quoted through a quick house visit and gave a really good price for the work. Some great advise was also given regarding the PIV unit and condensation issues. All jobs carried out to a high standard and all mess cleaned up straight away. Highly recommend!
Wimborne is effectively home turf for us — our Ferndown base shares the town’s BH21 postcode, so we’re often only a few minutes away. That local knowledge counts for a lot here, because Wimborne’s housing is so varied. The period cottages and townhouses around the Minster need an electrician who’ll treat an old building with respect, work neatly around original features, and understand where decades-old wiring tends to fail. The modern estates at Merley and Leigh Park are a different job again, and the rural properties towards Pamphill different still. Being genuinely local means we can pop back easily if you have a question, we’re not adding travel time onto your quote, and we’ve built a reputation across Wimborne and East Dorset that we care about protecting.
Leave your details and we’ll call you back — usually the same day.
